Who is this Programme for?

The Biodiversity Leaders programme is aimed at professionals with an interest in integrating biodiversity considerations in to the operations of business. The programme will facilitate both those responsible for relevant activities within their company. Through a series of online interactive workshops, participants will develop a range of relevant knowledge and skills; facilitate wider organisational fluency with relevant issues; and assist with the design and delivery of tangible impacts within the business and the communities or regions where it operates.

The Learning Experience

The Biodiversity Leaders Programme focuses on providing real world industry examples and peer to peer facilitated learning, through a series of live and interactive tutor led workshops. All participants will prepare a Biodiversity charter for their facility. The charter will capture the business case for action; current biodiversity risks and challenges arising from site management and/ or business operations; opportunities for tailored actions; and detailed action plan (‘charter’) for improving delivery of biodiversity positive outcomes.

Aims of the Programme

This programme aims to facilitate professionals working in businesses across all sectors to implement a Biodiversity Action Plan. Upon the successful completion of this training programme, participants will have the skills and knowledge to:

Develop a tailored Biodiversity Action Plan for their site
The programme will support trainees in understanding the opportunities and risks to biodiversity in relation to their Business, and trainees will create a Biodiversity Charter which captures the business case for action and an agreed action plan for the first 12 months
Successful trainees will gain the knowledge which will boost their organisation’s reputation and brand image by having a recognised Biodiversity Leader onsite
